About Back and Neck Pain Treatment

The problem
Back and neck pain are two of the most common types of pain, possibly a reflection of the modern lives we lead, desk work, mobile phones, more sedentary etc… But equally because of the misunderstanding of the way many of these types of injuries occur.

Back and neck pain can develop in two main ways:

  1. Acute injury / trauma – like whiplash or a disk blowout when lifting weights
  2. Insidious – you’re not aware of it developing and the pain gradually builds up and doesn’t go away

While it’s fairly easy to understand why you might be in pain following acute trauma, it’s far less obvious why you might be suffering with back or neck pain when you don’t appear to have injured that particular area. However insidious back / neck pain is far more common.

Daily habits
Do you ever think about how your daily habits may be contributing to your pain and dysfunction? It’s worth taking a good look in the mirror and thinking about what you’re doing that could be contributing to pain. Things like diet, posture, work habits, stress, sleeping position etc, can all play a major role in causing adaptation and compensations.

The key to making lasting changes is not trying to completely change every aspect of your life, it’s making small changes to several different areas that over time become habit.

If you sit at a desk all day, we can help you develop strategies for dealing with it, which may include some ELDOA stretches, movement and stability drills. It’s not hard, you just have to want to do it.

Do you have the necessary CORE stability to support your back and neck?

How we can help

Help you understand and treat your pain
We’ve helped countless people overcome back and neck pain. After all, it’s one of the most common conditions we see. The key to resolving any pain is doing a good assessment and taking a full in-depth injury history. We need to know if you’re compensating for a previous injury, and if so, how and why.

Decompress your spine
We use ELDOA stretching. A unique system of spinal decompression stretches developed by Dr Guy Voyer. Performed over time, these amazing stretches help increase the space between the vertebrae, reducing pressure on the delicate nerves that exit the spine. This is one of the most effective techniques for helping improve posture and spinal mobility

What your investment represents
We believe treatment with us is not only about getting you out of pain or rehabilitating an injury. We feel you should get so much more, including:

  • Understand your weak links, and how to fix them
  • Improve your spinal mobility and stability
  • Better CORE stability
  • Move and feel beter
  • Improved posture
  • Get the rest of your body moving to take the pressure off the back
